About Me

Hey, I'm Jacob! I'm a fun, energetic, resourceful programmer with a life-long passion for JavaScript, CSS, and TypeScript. I love collaborating with a team, mentoring junior developers, and building systems that are intuitive, well-documented and well-tested. I spent 5 years working with React and the MERN stack as a full-stack developer at Anark.

I'm also a musician. Since 2019, I've sung with the Denver Gay Men's Chorus. Before that, I sang with a college a cappella group called In the Buff. I served as their music director for my senior year of college (which was also their 25th anniversary) and worked on an album with them.

I dabble in music production and songwriting, which you can hear for yourself on my SoundCloud. I have intermediate experience with jazz/improvisational piano.
